Paper submission

Manuscripts must be submitted on the IPIN 2019 submission page according to the following instructions and the deadlines shown in the side box. Deadlines are intended at 23:59 AoE.

Instructions for authors

IPIN 2019 has a single-stage submission and peer review process with two types of submissions:

  • Regular Papers: max 8 IEEE pages, oral presentation is required
  • Work-in-Progress (WiP): 5-8 LNCS pages, oral or poster presentation is required
Papers undergo a single-blind review process by at least two reviewers. Accepted WiP papers are submitted to CEUR-WS, while accepted regular papers are submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

  • Papers in excess of 2 papers per full author registration are not included in the conference proceedings
  • Regular papers whose authors do not show up at the conference are removed from the IEEE Xplore Digital Library
Preparing your camera-ready Regular paper

Regular papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format. They must be written in English according to the IEEE submission template and formatting guidelines, must include author names and affiliations on the front page and the conference header on all pages.

Latex users can add the following lines to include the conference header:

	\centering\parbox{18cm}{2019 International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN), 30 Sept. - 3 Oct. 2019, Pisa, Italy}

After a paper is accepted, minor revisions may be requested; if this is the case, authors are required to apply them for the final camera ready submission.

Accepted papers must fully comply with the IEEE conference format for the final camera-ready submission. To ensure compliance, PDF manuscripts must pass the check against IEEE PDF eXpress. Papers that fail the check or exceed the 8 page limit may be rejected without further review.

Here is a checklist for submitting your camera-ready manuscript:

  • modify your manuscript (if necessary) following the reviewers' recommendations
  • verify that your camera-ready paper complies with the IEEE format
  • embed the Copyright Clearance Code (CCC) notice
  • prepare the IEEE Copyright Form
  • submit the final manuscript and the IEEE Copyright Form
Preparing your camera-ready Work-in-Progress paper

WiP papers will be indexed and uploaded on the CEUR database. You should ensure that you follow the LNCS format when preparing and uploading the final camera-ready version of your submission. Your paper should be no less than 5 and no more than 8 pages long.

In the "Workshop/Conference/Book:" field you should put "Tenth International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN 2019) - Work-in-Progress Papers".

In the field "Editors:" you should write: "Paolo Barsocchi and Masanori Sugimoto".
